SyncroTel Position on the Use of AI

Artificial intelligence is not going anywhere, until it does. SyncroTel Labs recognizes AI as a tool, not an author, not a conscience, and not a replacement for the artistic talents of any human being.

Office of the CEO SyncroTel Labs // EV Zero Prime Division Issued for SyncroTel Labs, EchoBoard, and Witness Desk Media

AI can never and should never substitute the artistic talents, judgment, memory, grief, humor, taste, or lived experience of a human creator. It should, in the opinion of SyncroTel Labs, make the expression of that art more accessible. Editing for clarity, organizing thought, improving workflow, supporting research, expanding access, and helping a person reach the shape they were already trying to make are valid uses of a tool.

What are tools for, if not that purpose? Art, science, and engineering have become astonishing fields because human beings build instruments, learn from them, and use them to push farther than unaided hands could reach. AI is no different in category. It is different in scale, speed, and risk, which means it deserves discipline instead of panic and honesty instead of theater.

If AI is making your decisions, then we are having another discussion. Generative AI, impressive as it is, often takes the art out of art when it is treated as the originating imagination. It can remix, recombine, and recycle what it has been given. Some day that may change. Some day this statement may sound as archaic as the model of the cosmos that preceded Copernicus. Until then, SyncroTel Labs will treat AI as a powerful assistant and an unreliable witness, not as the living source of the work.

We always knew AI would be a thing. It is the intention of SyncroTel Labs, EchoBoard, and Witness Desk Media to use AI responsibly: to enhance offerings, to accelerate craft, to clarify communication, to reduce needless friction, and to support human production. Not to automate authorship. Not to counterfeit experience. Not to pose work before you that is not ours.

You are already surrounded by AI. The only meaningful question is whether you are willing to use it in a way that helps retain your connection to humanity.

Human Authorship

The human remains responsible for taste, intention, disclosure, and final judgment.

Assistive Use

AI may support clarity, editing, organization, research, accessibility, and workflow.

No False Ownership

We will not present generated work as human-made personal testimony or original craft.

Accountable Systems

When AI affects decisions, evidence, or public claims, human review is mandatory.
